The applet below lets you view an actual box-style tree on the Internet! See the quick instructions to learn the best ways to locate information
in the tree. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to change the default branch in the
tree, so part of my wife's lineage will first appear. To search for a Bauerle, wait
for the applet to load, click on the Family Tree Applet, and then
type F on your keyboard only once. It may take a little while, but an index of
names will soon appear.
| This is where
the InterneTree would be if your browser was Java enabled |
| If you are using Netscape 3.0 or higher, select Network
Preferences from the Options menu. Go to Languages and confirm that the Enable
Java check box is selected. If you are using Microsoft Explorer 3.0 or higher, select
Options from the View menu. Go to Security and confirm that the Enable
Java Programs check box is selected. |
| If you are using another browser, we recommend that
you download the latest
version of Netscape Navigator. |
 | To locate an individual quickly, type F on your keyboard. This will
display a list of all individuals in the tree. |
 | To view a particular individual's ancestors and descendants, click that individual's
box. Clicking a box places it in the center of the family tree, with the individual's
ancestors to the right of the box and descendants to the left. |
 | To see more information about a particular person, click their box and type D
on your keyboard. |
 | To move up and down and left and right through the tree, use the scroll bars. |
 | To return to the center of the tree, press the Home key on your
keyboard. |
 | To zoom in and out of the tree, use the + and - keys
on your keyboard. |
